WATER+DESERT = ⚠️ --- Water in the #desert CAN be a dangerous problem. --- Important #water management projects in the desert like our current Frog Hollow project outside of Hurricane, UT ensure proper drainage and flow during storms. --- Southern Utah's #monsoon season and the resulting water can cause SERIOUS hazards to the community. --- That's where we step in to do our thing and keep the water where it needs to be. 💪

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the 2024 Associated General Contractors of Utah Mental Health Summit on behalf of Whitaker Construction Company, Inc., where I gained valuable insights into the mental health crisis in the construction industry. I learned strategies for supporting mental health in the workplace and resources that contribute to overall mental wellbeing. Additionally, I earned my certification in VitalCog, a program that trains organizations to proactively address early warning signs of suicide in the workplace. I truly love the work I do surrounding mental health, especially in an industry like construction that is making great strides in normalizing stigma reduction and supporting employee wellbeing. It’s inspiring to see how much the focus on mental health is growing in our field, and I’m grateful to be part of this positive change.
