The women of WISE San Diego - my local branch of the WISE — Women in Sports and Events network - often have LinkedIn profiles that are daunting to me, since I'm *not* a high-level industry executive in media, events or professional sports. (Plus, they all look younger, smarter and more polished than I do! <sigh>) Nevertheless, I re-activated my membership and leaned into the adventure this evening of surrounding myself with new people, new ideas and new connections. Huge thank you to those who welcomed me -- Robin Legat, Maryn Salomon, Carrie Gorden, CMP, Kirstin Olsen, Kara Vermeulen. (Bummed I missed you, Caitlin Teno!) Appreciative of Carolina Acuna and Ashley August of Pistolas Salon in La Jolla, California, for their expertise and great conversation, to Knockaround for the sunglasses and WILL Perform PBC for the muscle recovery lotion.
