The WCTE 2025 Conference Committee invites authors to submit 2-page abstracts / mini papers for review by the WCTE 2025 International Scientific Committee. Submissions are due 30 June 2024. Submissions are sought for both oral and poster presentations, which must address the principal conference theme of: Advancing Timber for the Future Built Environment The WCTE 2025 technical program will have a focus on the importance of research and development undertaken by the timber design and construction community in response to the increased demand from engineering and architectural firms, developers and investors, now emphasising timber engineering as a preferred solution for many projects.

It is with great pleasure, that the Australian Organising Committee invite delegates from around the world to join us for the World Conference on Timber Engineering (WCTE 2025) in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia from 22nd June to 26th June 2025. The WCTE is the world’s leading scientific forum for the presentation of the latest technical and architectural solutions and innovations in timber construction. It is considered the most prestigious international event in the field of timber technology for construction, timber structures, and the design of timber architecture. Our host city of Brisbane, is the capital of the State of Queensland; Australia’s favourite tourist region and host of the 2032 Olympic Games. It is an ideal location for both the WCTE conference and extending your trip to visit some of the natural wonders of this part of Australia. The University of Queensland, along with the support of the Australian Research Council Research Hub to Advance Timber for Australia’s Future Built Environment (ARC Advance Timber Hub) has the pleasure of hosting the WCTE 2025. They are also supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism & Events Queensland, the Brisbane Economic Development Agency and Tourism Australia.

The WCTE 2025 Registration portal is now open! Early Bird Prices available until 28 February 2025 Delegate Registration Fee: $1,400 AUD Student Registration Fee: $1,250 AUD Registration includes full conference program for 5 days from 22 - 26 June 2025 (inclusive of welcome reception, gala dinner and closing reception). The WCTE 2025 Organising Committee are also pleased to advise that the WCTE 2025 Draft Program is now available to view on the WCTE 2025 website under – Key Dates & Program. The program includes details on each technical session for the current list of 804 oral presentations and over 150 poster presentations.

Due to demand for an extension to the Call for Abstracts deadline (2-page abstracts / mini papers), the WCTE 2025 Conference Committee is pleased to advise that the deadline has now been extended from 30 June 2024 to Wednesday 31 July 2024 - 11:59PM Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST). Submissions made to the 30 June 2024 have now been submitted for review to the WCTE 2025 International Scientific Committee.

The World Conference on Timber Engineering 2025 Call for Abstacts deadline is fast approaching. Please submit by 30 June 2024 to ensure your abstract is considered for the world’s premier scientific dissemination forum for presenting and discussing the latest technical and architectural developments and innovations in timber engineering and construction. The WCTE 2025 Conference Committee welcomes group abstracts submitted with a specific focus session in mind and they will try to accommodate session recommendations in the Program design.
