Worldreader’s ✨ Staff Spotlight ✨ of the Month: Meet Heidi Williams from Phoenix, AZ! 🚀 What’s your day-to-day like? Depending on meeting schedules, I work out every morning with weights, hot yoga, or tennis. I usually dive into emails and Slack messages before 7 am so people get what they need from me before their work day ends. Once I've addressed all requests, I review budget and forecasting spreadsheets, perform audits, pay vendors and employees, and record all income reconciliations, often with a giant decaf iced coffee. During my lunch break, I like to take a hike with my dog on nearby trails. Before I log off for the day, I follow up on deadlines to keep our financials running smoothly. 💙 What do you love most about working at Worldreader? I love my colleagues and feel extremely fortunate to work with such competent people. I also LOVE the flexibility, allowing me to keep a great balance of work and personal time. 📚 What's the last book you read and how would you rate it on a scale from 1-10? I'm currently reading “The Berry Pickers” by Amanda Peters. It has interesting characters, a unique premise, and is very readable. I rate it an 8 out of 10. 💡Fun Fact I’m a sports fanatic! I grew up skiing avidly around 50 days/year, and riding horses in Utah. One of my favorite experiences was riding an Icelandic pony. Now I play loads of tennis and hike a lot. I'm wildly addicted to college football and travel across the US to use my Clemson season tickets every fall. I also love NCAA March Madness basketball, baseball, and attending Yankees games when visiting my son in New York.
