Some interesting insights into turbines today. Here are the take aways I got: 1. Turbines today are complex 2. As turbines become more complex they need additional maintenance 3. As they need additional maintenance they become more costly Wright One aims to cut this vicious cycle by reducing the number of parts in our product, creating a much simpler maintenance schedule, and increasing access of turbines to more customers.

I am an absolute fan of what Skyryse is working on right now with the future of aviation. Being able to fly a complex craft like a helicopter with two touch screens and a single joystick is a LEAP forward in aviation safety.

To put this 650 aircraft annually number into perspective. This is the start of the Automotive <> Aviation domain convergence. Cessna's most successful airplane in production - the C172 - has built and produced 44,000+ units since its inception. In 2023 Cessna delivered 151 units (in 2019 before COVID the number was 126). Wright One aims to deliver electric turbines (an EDF) to customers making under $100,000 annually. Wright One aims to deliver urban air mobility to everyone. This means reducing the complexity of an electrified turbine, reducing the maintenance cost of a solution, and to scale our manufacturing process to obscene figures to be able to deliver on this promise. We are the Wright One.
In 2019, when we first started working with Stellantis, our collaboration was focused on conceptual aircraft interior designs. Now, they are our largest investor. Today, we are announcing the key terms that will cover the next phase of our partnership—a multi-faceted contract manufacturing relationship. As part of this, in addition to the approximately $300M that Stellantis has invested in Archer to date, Stellantis would fund up to nearly $400M in labor and CapEx under the contract manufacturing relationship to help us scale Midnight manufacturing of up to 650 aircraft annually. https://lnkd.in/g666AxdG

Steps in the right direction to bring down the cost of turbines for more mainstream commercialization. Wright One believes that to achieve making flying cars a reality, we have to start thinking about developing the manufacturing scale that automobiles have been enjoying. The start of making this happen is right here. GE has brought down the number of parts in a turbine from 25,000 parts... down to 4,110. Excellent start.
Engineering + Aviation = The best love story ever told. In 4,110 parts. 😉 #GEAerospace #Engineering

While Wright One is working to develop and deliver electric turbines for flying cars. The way we are getting there is by looking at a more efficient fan system for data centers. Investors have said that air-cooling is getting replaced by liquid cooling solutions in data centers… but this video shows a much different story. Looks like countries are reversing permits for data centers looking to implement liquid cooling solutions because of a shortage of water. By the way, the Wright Fan is able to cool a 250 Watt CPU 100% with a direct replacement form factor in a 1U cabinet array. https://lnkd.in/gWJdsDe4

Whenever I think of flying cars, I always think that the first step has been the need for a personal craft. Something like a one-person vehicle used for small trips, specific work (like pipeline inspections), or commuting. The Jetson One from Jetson is the perfect instance of what this could look like, and the Wright Turbine would be an excellent addition to this ecosystem. https://lnkd.in/gjSsr4Zr

Automation inside an aircraft is drastically needed. Something like what Skyryse is accomplishing is super exciting for giving someone with zero flight experience the ability to control a complex aircraft immediately. https://lnkd.in/gbDN6MpZ
Flying an aircraft is too complicated, here's how Skyryse is changing that
