Washington State University will soon begin offering a new online master’s program aimed at providing students with a foundational understanding of environmentally friendly construction practices. #WSU's Master’s in Energy Conscious Construction program, launching this spring, will train students in the design of more efficient and less carbon polluting homes for the future. 🏗 It's been a busy few weeks on Washington State University’s Schweitzer Engineering Hall jobsite! Crews started steel erection a few days back, a major milestone for this progressive design-build project with ZGF Architects. So far, the project team has also: • Excavated 25,000 tons of soil • Mitigated basalt rock discovered during earthwork • Installed 600 linear feet of sewer and electrical lines under Spokane Street With a fall 2026 opening date, Schweitzer Engineering Hall is set to become the cornerstone of WSU Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture's new district on the Pullman campus and is part of a wider push to meet the growing demand for engineering, construction and design graduates.

Construction of Schweitzer Engineering Hall is underway! Schweitzer Engineering Hall will be the central hub and welcoming front door for the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture. With multipurpose classrooms, event spaces, club and showcase areas, collaborative teaming spaces, shared maker and shop spaces, advising, tutoring, and career placement services the building will become the academic home for all of Voiland College’s Pullman campus activities when it is complete.
