Celebrated Malnutrition Awareness week at Yale New Haven Health last week. Incredibly proud of our clinical team that participated in spreading awareness, educating themselves with webinars offered each day and special shout out to Amy Ralph, MS, RD, CSO, CDN, CNSC who was a moderator at one of the ASPEN webinars. It is important for patients, as well as caregivers and families, to be proactive and ask about their nutrition status. Patients with malnutrition have higher hospital costs, longer stays, and increased mortality. Our Registered Dieitians are trained to diagnose and develop a medical nutrition therapy plan. #ASPENMAW24
