  • With heavy hearts we share the news that our dear friend and Yeti Factory Racing team mechanic, Matt Opperman, has passed away. He was found next to his bike in a remote area of Segura de la Sierra, Spain.    Matt was more than just a world-class mechanic—he was a mentor, a racer, and a friend to so many. For over 20 years, he worked alongside Olympians, World Champions, National Champions, and rising talents, shaping the sport in countless ways. His impact stretched across teams like Yeti Factory Racing, Trek, Rocky Mountain, and Gary Fisher. His kindness, professionalism, and steady presence made him truly one of a kind.  Beyond the pits, Matt was an adventurer at heart. Whether riding trails in Spain, racing in Colorado, or supporting riders around the globe, he embodied the spirit of mountain biking.    We were lucky to have him on our squad, but even luckier to call him a friend.     Our deepest condolences go out to Matt’s family, friends, and the entire racing community.    Rest easy, friend. We’ll miss you.    Link in Bio    *We encourage Matt’s friends, colleagues and loved ones to use this post as a platform to share their respects and fond memories – please comment below    #RideForMattO https://lnkd.in/gG8pQfYA

  • After five years of service in the New Zealand Army, Robin Goomes was at a crossroads. She had to decide whether to continue her career as a heavy machinery operator or to make a massive bet on herself and pursue her dream of becoming a professional mountain biker. Robin had never competed outside of New Zealand, and it was rare for women to secure invites in a male-dominated sport. Despite these uncertainties and the ever-present risk of injury, she decided to roll the dice. V: Craig Grant #YetiCycles #RideDriven #MoreThanMyth
