Today Verdugo Hills Y Branch Director Annie Azizian showed our new friend, Arthur Javadyan, Area Representative for Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez, our incredible Sunland-Tujunga branch and spoke about opportunities to collaborate in the future and assist our shared service area. Aurther toured our pool, pickleball court, garden space, fitness area and onsite preschool along with our accessible playground. Earlier today, the members of our board gathered for the Annual Board Members Meeting and Retreat! It was an opportunity to look back on the accomplishments of the previous year and to establish objectives for the year ahead. #Destination2025 #YMCAoftheFoothills

The YMCA of the Foothills annual Bike-A-Thon’s fundraising efforts benefit their camp, program, and membership scholarship funds. Through events like the annual Bike-A-Thon, the community shows its support for the mission of the YMCA of the Foothills: to organize, develop, finance, and conduct programs for an association of persons of all ages that will, by putting Christian principles into practice, enrich the quality of their lives spiritually, mentally, physically and socially.

We’re excited to share that our YMCA alongside the California State Alliance of YMCAs has partnered with Ballmer Group to make a significant impact on the lives of low-income youth right here in LA County! Thanks to a generous $20 million commitment over the next three years across nine YMCAs, we’ll be able to enhance our out-of-school programs, providing a safe and supportive space for our kids to learn, grow, and thrive. Our YMCA alongside eight other YMCAs in Los Angeles County will be part of this incredible effort, working together to ensure every child has access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed. This partnership is more than just funding—it’s an investment in the future of our children and the heart of our community. Together with Ballmer Group, we’re dedicated to building a brighter tomorrow for all!

🧑⚖️👩⚖️ Youth and Government is a national YMCA Program for students in the 9th-12th grades. The program enables young adults to prepare for post-high school opportunities via moral and political leadership through training in the theory and practice of developing public policy.
