From the early days at ZEDEDA we recognized that as edge deployments grow globally, it would be imperative to rethink resilience at massive scale. As the world still recovers from last week’s failed CrowdStrike config update to an operating system built in the 80s, it surely highlights the need for modern edge computing architectures that can withstand and swiftly recover from disruptions, from the application all the way down to the operating system. I for one can’t imagine anyone deploying edge computing at scale without the essential capabilities to ensure autonomous rollback, remote recovery without on-site intervention, application isolation for enhanced stability (especially for Windows!), and measured boot and remote attestation for system integrity. All these are in my mind non negotiable must-have’s to provide the security and resiliency needed to maintain seamless operations at incredible scale. This is why we've always prioritized building robust architectures that can withstand the challenges of distributed environments. When we developed EVE-OS, it was built to solve these challenges; boot verification, container isolation, rollback capabilities packaged into a robust operating system paired with edge orchestration was meant to transform companies - and it does. Our customers agree with us, and we have been excited to partner with some of the largest enterprises in the world to help them deploy edge computing at incredible scale!
