"We need hydrogen - SAF will not do it alone" The aviation industry faces a critical moment in its journey toward decarbonization. As ACI President Armando Brunini emphasized in Aviation Week, reaching net zero demands bold technological advancements, and despite industry headwinds, now is the time to accelerate progress, not slow down. While SAF plays a role in reducing emissions, it is not a complete solution. Hydrogen-electric aviation will involve huge reduction of both CO2 and non-CO2 climate impacting emissions, a removal of harmful air pollutants to improve health outcomes for people living close to airports, reduced noise and, crucially, improved economics for the aviation sector. At ZeroAvia, we're actively driving this shift. The only way forward is through innovation, and the solutions that will ultimately win are those that combine environmental impact with economic advantages. Start small, scale from there. The best way to do it, is to just do it. Read the full article on ACI's comments by Thierry Dubois here and share your thoughts with us: https://lnkd.in/ed-2UZzp #aviation #hydrogen #netzero

🔝 🛫 Wrapping up an inspiring Day 2 at #CAAF2025! Today, industry leaders and innovators shared their vision for the future of aviation, highlighting the crucial steps needed to accelerate decarbonisation. 🔹 Florian Guillermet (EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency), reinforced the importance of collaboration with the industry to shaping the certification framework for future aviation technologies. The demonstration phase under Clean Aviation plays a crucial role in this process, but a shift in mindset is needed. Embracing digitalisation in certification procedures will be essential to streamline approvals and accelerate innovation 🔹 Daniel Cuchet (ATR) emphasised that a regional market mindset is essential. Testing and demonstrating different solutions is the only way to determine what truly works. Clean Aviation projects stand as a great example of this approach, driving real-world innovation through hands-on experimentation. 🔹 Val Miftakhov (ZeroAvia) demonstrated how hydrogen-powered flight is moving from concept to reality, paving the way for zero-emission aviation. 🤝🌠𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐭-𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 ✨Thanks to Magali Minet for facilitating such insightful discussions today! #CleanAviation #Innovation #Research #technology #HorizonEU #FP10

"Why is hydrogen so crucial for sustainable aviation?" "It is the best energy carrier to deliver electric propulsion for large commercial aircraft and we absolutely must get to non-combustion propulsion solutions to be truly sustainable. Fuel cells also offer greater efficiency and superior economics. Crucially, it’s not a solution that is 2035 and beyond. We are talking about 2026 for the first commercial routes and the technology and infrastructure will scale from there." "The best way to do it, is to just do it. Start with Part 23, make tangible things happen and then convince people that the technology and infrastructure are possible.” ZeroAvia CEO Val Miftakhov addresses the Clean Aviation Annual Forum in Brussels, joining a panel alongside Sabine Klauke (CTO, Airbus), Eric Dalbiès (CTO, Safran), Florian Guillermet (Executive Director, EASA) and Marco Protti (Head of Advanced Research, Leonardo).

Meet Our Most Flexible Hydrogen Fuel Cell System Read about the applications here: https://lnkd.in/eB7HQ4Zz For electric UAVs, eVTOL and fixed wing aircraft designs, the promise of lower cost and cleaner operations is tempered by concerns over flight duration. Limited by battery energy density, operators face shorter missions, frequent refuelling, and disrupted operations, ultimately limiting the impact of their novel designs. ZeroAvia’s SuperStack Flex hydrogen fuel cell system changes the game. Designed to extend range, enhance endurance, and deliver reliable performance in diverse conditions, our breakthrough fuel cell technology fills a critical gap in the market. Longer flights, greater efficiency, and uninterrupted progress. #electricaviation #hydrogen #zeroavia
