Accountant

Hiring an Accountant for a 30-year-old, $35M Business Services Company. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, the ideal candidate will handle financial transaction bookkeeping and reconciliation, financial reporting, payroll processing, budgeting, and audits. Additionally, they will provide insights for financial decision-making to the C-suite on revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and financial strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accounting is in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Develop and monitor accounting policies and procedures
• Oversee accounting practices and analyze cost data; making recommendations for cost-saving opportunities
• Reconciling bank statements and recording financial transactions
• Generating financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement)
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings while ensuring the accuracy of the financial reports
• Producing customized reports for business analysis and decision-making
• Oversee Audit process and execution (bi-annual)
• Supervise, mentor, and develop a small team of accounting professionals
• Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics preferred
• 4 + years of progressive accounting experience
• Proven management and leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and impeccable attention to detail
• Expertise in financial systems and databases (Quickbooks a plus)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
