This position performs a combination of functional activities for assigned departments, and centralized accounting tasks.
Job Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statement monthly analysis of Profit & Loss in order to provide applicable budget vs. actual variance explanations in accordance to Transocean procedures.
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet based on assigned accounts, entities and cost centers.
- Assist department heads with the preparation and finalization of quarterly forecast and annual budget.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all relevant journal entries with supporting documentation as required in order to comply with internal SOX and Audit controls.
- General accounting tasks such as cost allocations, centralized provisions, amortizations, billing, etc.
- Maintain communication with department heads as required in order to satisfy and support the functional management in their financial responsibilities.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Adhoc requests and analysis as required by supervisor and functional heads.
- Minimum Required - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum Required - 3 years in accounting.
- Preferred - 3 to 5 years in accounting and relevant experience in Corporate, General or Centralized accounting.
- Strong in Excel spreadsheets.
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, data analytics, attention to detail, and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment background check.
