Accounts Receivable Analyst - Hybrid

Armand Corporation, an award-winning M/WBE Construction Management firm celebrating over 33 years in the industry, is seeking a full-time Construction Accounts Receivable Analyst for a federal construction project related to complex rail, transit, and other transportation projects in NY & NJ.

The ideal candidate has 3 - 5 years of fulltime experience in accounting relating to construction, particularly specialized in grant recovery, grant forms, and grant processing in accordance with Federal Railway Administration (FRA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) guidelines, as well as a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or a related field.

This position will be full-time, hybrid. Candidates are expected to live in or near the New York metropolitan area.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Work with the Controller on Accounts Receivable management, analysis, and reconciliation of revenue accruals and deferred contract revenues.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set up, implement, manage, and close out grant financial obligations, in accordance with FRA and FTA standards and requirements.
  • Work alongside Project Managers to track and manage the finance department's grant expenditure reports and analytics.
  • Assist the finance department with developing, implementing, and managing staffing position control logs and cost allocation schedules.
  • Manage and oversee the grant billing and drawdown schedule.
  • Assist with maintaining and improving systems for grant compliance.
  • Assist in the collection and record keeping of invoices and relevant packages for grant reimbursement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, with government experience in billing federal grant programs on large engineering/construction projects.
  • Experience with The Federal Transit Administration, Federal Railway Administration, and Build America By America experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with SAGE or other relevant software strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
