THIS JOB IS CURRENTLY A UNION COVERED POSITION
SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Airport Operations Coordinator performs a variety of duties at a general aviation, Part 139 Certified Airport. This position is responsible for ensuring that daily airport operations are conducted in accordance with FAR Part 139.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Airport Operations Coordinator performs a variety of duties at a general aviation, Part 139 Certified Airport. This position is responsible for ensuring that daily airport operations are conducted in accordance with FAR Part 139.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Recording all aircraft operations for purposes of billing and noise abatement compliance.
- Monitoring and operating phones, radios, and security camera and gate systems.
- As assigned, assist Duty Supervisor in conducting airfield inspections and identifying and reporting all deficiencies and/or irregularities found on the AOA, associated lighting, and NAVAID systems. Issues NOTAMs (Notice to Air Missions) as instructed.
- Responsible for airfield safety to include identifying, preventing, responding to and/or removing all hazards to aviation including FOD, wildlife, AOA incursions, unauthorized vehicles and pedestrian entry, and disabled aircraft.
- Acts as a liaison with Air Traffic Control, Teterboro ARFF group and all responding agencies during airport emergencies.
- As assigned, assist Duty Supervisor in coordinating and monitoring airport construction.
- Will operate snow removal equipment as assigned.
- Conducts tenant AOA driver training and auditing compliance.
- Performs weather observations.
- Professionally represents the company through frequent and meaningful contact with the customer.
- Supports all applicable requirements under Quality Management System (QMS) including tasks, documentation and written and practical tests.
- Perform other duties related to the above.

- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management or related field.
- Prior work experience in airport operations and/or airline operations preferred; pilot certification preferred. Must be able (through in-house training) to qualify to operate snow removal equipment.
- Acquires all licenses and/or certifications currently required or as may be required by regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, weather observer certification.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and sustain a valid driver’s license in the person’s state of residence.
- Ability to perform the duties of this classification.
- Ability to work in a teamwork environment, including our Quality Management System registered to ISO 9001:2015 or related standard.
- Individual must be willing and be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong computer skills with ability to effectively utilize programs such as MS Excel and MS Word with ability to learn new programs introduced in the future.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
