Responsible for the day-to-day operations of an individual community or group of communities in the same geographic area. Build a strong team(s) with common goals and objectives. Manages residential real estate properties for ownership by performing duties personally or through subordinate employees. The Senior Community Director has participation and oversight of budgeting, workplace safety, financial reporting and tracking, marketing, operations, and a property’s overall performance as a real estate asset. This position requires a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and uphold the high standards of communityinterior and exterior appearance and safety through observation and physical inspection of all buildings, grounds, common and public areas
  • Perform simple repairs to maintain community safety and appearance; coordinate repairs with maintenance team
  • Direct and manage daily property activities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to on-site personnel and contractors
  • Ensure company procedures are followed for qualification, screening, acceptance of applicants
  • Oversee lease or rental agreements for proper completion and renewal; actively pursue resident retention
  • Maintain high level of professional courtesy and customer service by all community personnel while in contact with residents and prospective residents
  • Assist in resolution of resident concerns; escalate to Regional Manager as necessary
  • Process community invoices, daily accounting tasks, and complete monthly close-outs
  • Timely complete weekly, monthly and annual property reports
  • Maintain rental housing market condition awareness
  • Develop and maintain sales/marketing plans
  • Develop annual operating budget for each community
  • Drive vehicle to visit properties or attend meetings
  • May work non-traditional hours based on needs of the business

The qualified candidate will have:

  • 3 years of property/community management experience
  • Knowledge of federal, state and jurisdictional laws and regulations concerning multi-family housing including Fair Housing Act
  • Professional appearance
  • Strong communication and presentation of information and response to inquiries
  • High attention to details
  • Confident with decision making
  • Able to motivate others to perform excellent work
  • Proficient computer and software application skills
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record
