Hybrid Schedule with 1 day WFH and 4 days in office
The Assistant Controller is an integral part of a well-established manufacturing and distribution organization and will provide high-level support for the launch of a new e-commerce site as well as provide support for the parent company. This role will be essential in creating the processes for all accounting functions including general ledger, financial statements, revenue, taxes, cash flow analysis and inventory cost matters, and will act as the backup for the CFO in their absence. This role reports directly to the CFO.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the overall month end close and balance sheet reconciliation processes
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
Create accounting internal control processes in accordance with US GAAP standards
Assist with billing, audits, and multi-state sales and use tax
Manage inventory process utilizing cost accounting methods
Perform cash flow analysis, and cycle counts accounting
Identify solutions for discrepancies with financial reports
Analyze business processes and recommend cost reduction initiatives
Maintain accurate financial records of inventory, assets, and other financial data
Optimize workflow processes within the ERP system and workflow processes
Other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA is a plus!
Prior financial management experience in manufacturing with APPAREL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE A MUST!
Minimum 10+ years’ experience with full cycle accounting.
Possess upbeat personality and a high energy, “go getter” mentality.
Stellar leadership skills with an “open door/hands on” management style .
Very strong financial analysis and cost accounting skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and business data to drive strategy.
Proficiency with MS Excel & MS Office Suite, QuickBooks and ERP Accounting software implementation
