Assistant Financial Controller

Radius is seeking candidates for an Assistant Controller position to be based in our New York office. This is a hybrid position and requires a minimum of 2-3 days a week in our NYC office. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing various accounting and financial activities as required by the company. This position will report to the VP Finance/Controller and the company CFO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting/private industry experience and/or assistant controllership experience
• Technical proficiency in US GAAP and local requirements and legislation
• CPA required.
• Top 15 accounting firm experience required.
• Strong internal control background
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to drive consistent execution in an environment with multiple priorities.
• Experience managing a team.
• ASC 606 experience
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
• Experience with ADP payroll
• Experience with SAGE 300 ERP or similar ERP systems a big plus
• Experience with accounting for multi-country organizations.
• Experience with Market Research or Service-related industry a plus.

• The applicable base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $135,000.
• The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education.
• In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for performance-based incentives.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced environment in a growing company with well-established client base.
• Uses accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports.
• Prepares financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status.
• Produces and manages balance sheets and analyze future earnings and expenses.
• Provide strong proactive support to company VP Finance/Controller
• Assists with management of general accounting, auditing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and variance analysis within the organization.
• Review bank reconciliations, assets, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, equity analysis, lease obligations, and administrative expenses.
• Assists with preparations for audits.
• Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances. Supports the resolution of technical accounting matters including research and documentation and assists in guiding the accounting team.
• Provide and oversee financial information for the country functions and infrastructure including initiating firm wide initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with and prepare reports according to applicable government regulations.
• Assists with management of accounting staff, meeting deadlines and achievement of team goals.
• Coordinates with and prepares reports for CFO and upper management on weekly, monthly, quarterly and on an annual basis.
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
