The Capital Team is a newly formed team that bridges Endeavor’s Entrepreneur Experience team, which delivers programmatic services to our entrepreneurs, and the Endeavor Catalyst team. Our job is to ensure Endeavor Entrepreneurs are thoroughly prepared to raise capital from the best investors, increase awareness amongst the best VCs about Endeavor markets and oversee the pipeline for Endeavor Catalyst investments.

About The Role

The Associate on the Capital team will deliver Endeavor’s core service offerings to entrepreneurs raising capital. This will involve preparing entrepreneurs to raise venture capital (pitch deck review, mentorship), helping to run investor roadshows (identifying target VC funds, making warm introductions, etc), and managing the deal flow for Endeavor’s own fund, Endeavor Catalyst. This is a unique opportunity to work with top founders across emerging and underserved markets and gain exposure to a high volume of global venture capital fundraises spanning 40 markets and six industry portfolios.

Responsibilities include:

  • You will support the journey of Endeavor Entrepreneurs raising capital from the point of selection to fundraise to Endeavor Catalyst investment and beyond. This will include:
    • Identifying and executing value-additive mentorships related to capital raising.
    • Identifying and connecting entrepreneurs across markets and industries to facilitate peer to peer learning.
    • Identifying investors that will be a good fit for the companies based on their specific investment thesis and executing the work of building investor lists populated with Endeavor’s insights and data.
    • Execute on follow ups as needed to facilitate introductions with mentors, investors and other founders.
  • You will support projects to raise the bar on capital-related servicing to improve the scale at which the Capital team can support Endeavor’s portfolio (1,200+ companies worldwide). This will include:
    • Communicating knowledge on capital and fundraising knowledge to 600 colleagues worldwide.
    • Building and maintaining an external database of resources on fundraising with Endeavor’s own data and insights to share with entrepreneurs.
  • You will help support initiatives to engage and recruit investors to Endeavor. This will include:
    • Managing investment thesis data of 300+ global funds.
    • Preparing materials (emails, slides) to showcase Endeavor Entrepreneurs and our markets to be presented to investors.
  • You will support Endeavor Catalyst investment process, decision and outcomes. This will include:
    • Preparing investment memorandum for new prospective investments to share with Endeavor Catalyst’s governing committee (Reid Hoffman, Nico Szekazy, Joanna Rees, Nick Beim).
    • Helping to track and produce analysis on investment approvals and deployment.
    • Eventually, growing in knowledge of rules-based criteria to effectively communicate with Entrepreneurs about our process and decisions.
As a mission-oriented company, Endeavor seeks someone who is aligned with our values:

  • Entrepreneur First: You are mission-oriented and believe in Endeavor’s model to change the world through high-impact entrepreneurship
  • Go Big: You are someone whose curiosity drives them to dream (and execute!) big as Endeavor reimagines its service offerings to entrepreneurs. You proactively identify gaps, improve processes and anticipate challenges, and have a strong ability to synthesize large amounts of information and complex ideas.
  • Network of Trust: You’re great with people! You naturally build and maintain relationships with key players and have the superior interpersonal skills needed to build trust with our entrepreneurs, mentors, and teams in over 40 markets.
  • Pay It Forward: You’re someone with a service-oriented attitude who asks, “What can I do?” before asking, “What can I get?” You are a team player with a knack for problem-solving.
  • One Endeavor: You’re comfortable working across cultures and will thrive on working with colleagues in over 30 different countries around the world on joint projects and knowledge sharing about in-country context and portfolio information. You have a vision for what you want to do in-region to build Endeavor Catalyst Network, and you have a bias for action to make it happen.
  • Always Agile: You believe in the importance of planning but never hesitate to change plans in the face of new data and circumstances. You can wear many hats, are open to change, and can be a creative problem-solver. You are resourceful, adaptable, flexible, and able to work calmly under pressure.
