The South Asian Solidarity Project is a student-run research initiative aiming to preserve the stories of South Asian-American activism in the United States and enshrine the vitality of these experiences to the development of US democracy, as well as serve as a platform for South Asian American voices nationally.


Role Description

This is a volunteer role for an Associate Editor at The South Asian Solidarity Project. As an Associate Editor, you will be responsible for assisting in the editing and proofreading of content, collaborating with writers and other editors, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of articles and publications. This is a remote role located in Irvine, CA.


Qualifications

  • Compose, review and edit articles, blog posts, social media content, and other written materials.
  • Collaborate with writers, researchers, and content creators to develop compelling articles
  • Assist in managing editorial schedules and deadlines.
  • Help maintain the organization’s editorial voice and style guidelines.
  • Must be a high school or college student
