Audio Visual Design Engineer

Audio Visual Design Engineers w/ past or current Secret Clearance (Denver or Colorado Springs, CO)

Hybrid Role, just 1 or 2 days per week onsite, up to $130,000/yr with excellent benefits

Our client's company is looking for talented and hardworking audiovisual design engineers to join their team serving the Department of Defense.

This position is located in or near Colorado Springs, CO. While it is anticipated that the majority of your work can and will be done from home, there will be obligations to meet with clients and team members in or near Colorado Springs.

Responsibilities:

As an AV Design Engineer at various levels, your responsibilities will include:

Junior Level:

• Collaborating on AV consulting and design efforts
• Developing design and engineering packages in AutoCAD & Revit
• Participating in QA/QC processes
• Supporting the team with drafting and documentation
• Learning and applying industry trends and technologies

Intermediate Level:

• Collaborating on AV consulting and design efforts
• Coordinating designs with architects, interior designers, and MEP engineers
• Developing design and engineering packages in AutoCAD & Revit
• Participating in QA/QC processes
• Researching new technologies and products
• Collaborating with the team on process, tools, and approach

Senior Level:

• Leading AV consulting and design efforts
• Coordinating designs with architects, interior designers, and MEP engineers
• Reviewing design documentation prior to client submissions
• Working with design engineers and consultants on regularly auditing and improving processes and documentation
• Researching industry trends and technologies
• Mentoring and educating new talent

Qualifications and Experience

Junior Level:

• 2-5 years of experience in AV design and documentation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Intermediate Level:

• 3-5 years of experience in AV design and documentation
• Bachelor's Degree (in any field)
• AVIXA CTS certification
• Government Security Clearance (current active and/or eligible)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam or similar software
• Independently motivated and able to work under deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Senior Level:

• Minimum 7 years of experience leading and managing AV design projects
• Bachelor's Degree (in any field)
• AVIXA CTS-D certification
• Government Security Clearance (current active and/or eligible)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam or similar software
• Independently motivated and able to work under deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Experience with configuring and commissioning AV and IT systems
• Teaching experience is a plus

Bonus Points

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field
• Additional Audio Visual Industry / Manufacturer certifications such as Crestron, QSC, Biamp, Dante, ClearOne, Shure, AVIXA, LightSpeed, AMX, etc.
• Experience with configuring and commissioning AV and IT systems
• Teaching or mentoring experience
