The Northwest Connecticut Tennis Academy, a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a director to add to its board.
We are open to a range of skills and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. Our work involves teaching free tennis lessons to underserved children.
We have a strong and talented board of directors and clear goals for our organization, as well as resources at the local and national level.
Responsibilities
*Attend board meetings via Zoom (roughly one hour each, about four times per year)
*Assist as needed with general tasks (roughly one hour per month)
*Attend annual gala fundraiser in person if possible (3-5 hours)
Qualifications
*Prior board experience helpful but not necessary. *Experience working with diverse communities and/or social service work helpful but not necessary.
*Interest in promoting youth sports, health, and education.
