The Role

The Kiavi Broker Experience Team is a team within Customer Experience. This team is tasked with finding, acquiring, on-boarding, and retaining key high tier brokers The Customer Experience team is rooted in three core principles; Doing the Right Thing, Commitment to Excellence and Winning as a Team. Kiavi is seeking an experienced relationship manager who thrives in serving customers to maximize their potential. This person should thrive in chaos, be a self starter, result-oriented, able to build and scale a book of business, and when in doubt always do right by the customer. As a Kiavi Broker Experience Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class broker experience while ensuring Kiavi is the selected partner for our brokers’ clientele. Through our commitment to service and best-in-class technology, you will be responsible for acquiring, retaining and growing your brokers’ business with Kiavi and demonstrating why Kiavi is the best partner to serve their business needs.

Responsibilities

A Broker Experience Manager will be responsible for increasing Kiavi’s value with each broker by:


  • Establishing deep rooted relationships with our brokers - building rapport, understanding how each broker’s business operates, and how Kiavi can help their unique business needs
  • Learning which financing option’s each broker offers their clients, and how our program can deliver the best in class solution for their borrowers
  • Becoming a market expert on our competition and what different lenders are offering our brokers for financing
  • Building a book of business of brokers via fielding new requests from new brokers, warm referrals from our direct team, and marketing events
  • Setting expectations and educating each broker on our requirements of our credit policy and ensuring high quality loans are submitted to Kiavi
  • Screening applications to ensure a high quality threshold
  • Finding a way to help brokers bring repeat business and establish incremental growth to each broker account
  • Able to develop key relationships with our processing, valuation, underwriting, and closing departments as they are crucial to our loans getting closed


The Broker Experience Manager will be a critical member of a larger team with the following responsibilities:


  • Partnering with your broker’s to ensure their borrowers qualify for our loan program by educating the broker on what required documentation their borrowers will need to provide our processing and underwriting team
  • Work with our third party AMC provider for our brokers borrowers appraisal, set expectations with brokers on timelines of when the completed appraisal will be delivered
  • Help mitigate valuation issues with our valuation department and brokers
  • Able to work cross functionally within Kiavi's internal teams during the loan process for your broker (Processing, Valuation, Underwriting, and Closing departments)
  • Deliver and own communication for material Kiavi updates (e.g. new state licensing, new product, process changes, credit policy)
  • Identify and win opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Support and empower to your teammates in order to win as a team


Requirements


  • Minimum 3 years experience within non-QM real estate lending industry
  • Experience selling bridge fix and flip loans as well as DSCR rental loans required
  • 3 years minimum of sales experience required; account management experience required
  • Salesforce experience required
  • Preferred: gSuite, gmail, google calendar
  • College degree in Business, Finance, Political Science (College degree required)
  • Passion for Real Estate
  • Excellent listening, consultative selling, and written communication skills
  • Holds themselves to high standards matched with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills both internally (within the company) and externally (with clients)
  • Demonstrated ability to keep organized in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and growing organization
  • High empathy and desire to help others
  • Experience in formulating and presenting solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while demonstrating strong attention to detail


Kiavi takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. The expected annualized base pay range for this full-time role to be performed remotely is $42,000 to $62,000 plus $90,000 commission + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Your recruiter can share more about the specific base pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the pay range listed above reflects the base salary only, and does not include the target value of bonus, equity, or benefits.

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Kiavi offers free employee-only coverage for medical, dental, and vision plans. Dependents receive a heavily discounted premium, competitively placed in the 90th percentile for cost.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA): For those enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), Kiavi provides an annual employer contribution to HSAs: $500 for individual coverage and $1,000 for dependents.
  • Disability and Life Insurance: Immediate access to short-term and long-term disability insurance, as well as group life and AD&D insurance, with coverage at 1x annual salary.
  • Remote Work Policy: Kiavi supports working remotely for day to day activities for most roles and occasionally may ask employees to gather in person for key meetings, trainings, team building etc. For remote workers, Kiavi offers a one-time office setup reimbursement of up to $500 and a monthly $75 stipend for internet and phone expenses. For in-office workers, Kiavi offers employer contributions to commuter benefits account, either for parking or public transportation.
  • Flexible Time Off: Employees are empowered to manage their own time off, with no strict limits, as long as it's approved by their manager.
  • Paid Leaves: Up to 8 weeks of paid leave for medical or caregiver purposes, and 12 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave. Short-term disability leave is also available for birthing mothers.
  • 401(k) & Company Match: A 401(k) plan managed by Fidelity, with Kiavi matching 100% of contributions up to 3% of compensation or $4,000 (whichever is less). All employer contributions are immediately vested.
