Business Development Manager:

ECR is expanding our Sales Team. The Business Development Manager is responsible to further grow our portfolio of Customers in the commercial and defense sector. They will work closely with colleagues in the ECR Defense team, safety engineers and product managers to consistently deliver the products and services we value. The Business Development Manager will also work closely with the leadership team to ensure our clients’ needs are met, market trends are recognized and feedback is provided back to ECR to develop and update our growth strategies. Responsibilities
  1. Sales Execution
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to tailor services and win projects.
  • Serve as the primary client contact during project execution.
  • Analyze and summarize sales data to prepare reports.
  • Identify and engage new potential customers.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets.
  1. Strategic Development
  • Conduct market analysis and identify growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners.
  • Provide customer feedback to the product development team.
  • Address short-term and long-term sales issues.
  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans.
  1. Leadership and Team Building
  • Engage with stakeholders across various departments.
  • Prepare to build and manage a high-performing team as the company grows.
  1. Innovation and Adaptability
  • Be the liaison between customer’s problems and the product team to identify and implement solutions for customer pain points.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and adapt to industry changes.
  1. Marketing and Branding
  • Align business initiatives with branding strategies.
  • Create and deliver marketing presentations and materials.
Requirements
  • Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition of employment. ECR will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel occasionally for client engagement and conferences.
  • Experience and Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the technology or autonomy industry.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven success in managing client relationships and achieving revenue targets.
  • Client Interaction: Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Product Development Insight: Experience guiding product enhancements based on customer feedback.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrate a solid understanding of financial principles and the ability to analyze financial data to inform business decisions. Show readiness to grow into a role involving budget setting and financial planning.
  • Effective Communication: Smart, helpful, friendly, and effective communication style.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Advanced education (e.g., MBA).
  • Experience in the US federal or defense industry or knowledge of DoD procurement processes.
  • Existing network in the AV industry or related sectors.
  • Experience forming product requirements from customer discovery.
  • Familiarity with sales tools for research and competitive analysis.
  • Experience with export-controlled projects and ITAR policies.
  • Knowledge of safety standards such as UL4600.
  • International experience and multilingual skills.
