Buyer

Job description:

• Use purchasing system to set up Purchasing Orders and other tasks.
• Send out requests for proposal as necessary, adhering to clients business practices and Desktop guides
• Perform supplier sourcing as needed. Create new vendors and maintain vendor contact information.
• Expedite orders to ensure on time delivery.
• Able to communicate with vendors and divisions to gather SOW or Specifications.
• Ability to follow checklist and desktop guides to obtain and analyze all the necessary documentations
• Capable of performing price analysis on complex purchases
• Able to follow Matric to negotiate terms and conditions
• Misc. tasks as assigned
  
  

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have BA in Business or related degree or MBA is preferred.
• 3 plus years of experience negotiating and awarding purchase orders and effectively communicating with suppliers.
• Must have knowledge of FARs and DFARs
• 3 plus years of government purchasing / contracting experience is highly desired.
• Must be able to do market research and proficient in MS Office, especially Word & Adobe
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must have a high level of motivation, attention to details, able to multi-task and energetic.
• Must be a US Citizen
