CAD Designer – Piping Designer: Operates CAD systems and produces clear and technically accurate drawings based on design specifications. Responsibilities include; production of basic to complex levels of mechanical design for natural gas piping for both transmission and distribution systems. Fluency in AutoCad and excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Experience with Cadworx Plant desired, but may provide training to the right individual.
Responsibilities Include
Develop 2D and 3D piping designs uses computer assisted design/drafting (AutoCad, Cadworx Plant) equipment and software
Create and revise permitting and construction drawings and details (schematics, site layouts, orthographic plan and section views, and bill of materials)
Draw finished designs from sketches and concepts under the direction of the Engineer
Update standard details and templates
Maintain an organized file system for production drawings.
Required Experience
Strong knowledge of piping design
Familiarity of transmission and distribution systems in the natural gas industry
Associates Degree or Certificate of Completion in Drafting and Design or proof of completion of formal Autocad training
Excellent written and oral communication
1-5 Years or more of experience in a professional office environment creating Autocad production drawings for mechanical disciplines
