Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with a large CPA Firm in Central Arkansas to help them find a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for their organization. This is a newly created position for the firm due to growth. COO will report directly to the Managing Partner and be a part of the C-Suite Team. CPA Firm is seeking an experienced strategic Executive to drive operational excellence, streamline processes, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and oversee day to day operations for the firm.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with the CEO, Executive Committee, and senior leadership team to develop and execute the firm's operational strategies, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost optimization, and process efficiencies across all departments and practice areas.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction for all operational functions, including finance, human resources, information technology, facilities management, and administrative services.
  • Ensure the effective allocation and utilization of resources (human, financial, and technological) to support the firm's growth and operational needs.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze and streamline existing processes, identifying bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas for automation or digitization.
  • Collaborate with department heads and practice leaders to implement process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain a robust risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks across the firm.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, working closely with the firm's legal and compliance teams.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration
  • MBA preferred
  • 15+ year of progressive experience, 5+ in a C-Suite Role with a medium to large size company
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, process optimization, and cost-effective solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels
