The Client Success Manager is responsible for achieving growth and hitting sales targets by designing and implementing strategic sales plans, expanding CTC's customer base, and ensuring a strong market presence. The role includes attending networking events, developing key relationships, managing the sales process, and providing insightful reports to the management team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Attain and exceed sales goals developed in collaboration with the Leadership Team.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand CTC's customer base and ensure a robust market presence.
  • Attend virtual and in-person networking events and conferences to identify and pursue new prospect opportunities.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with area Visitors and Convention Bureaus, hotels, and venues to position CTC as the preferred referral choice.
  • Reconnect with past CTC clients and prospects to generate future business opportunities.
  • Present compelling proposals to prospective clients.
  • Upsell additional services to existing clients to enhance profitability.
  • Efficiently manage the sales process and track tasks using CTC's Project Management and CRM system (ClickUp, HubSpot)
  • Foster and promote strong, enduring customer relationships by understanding and addressing client/prospect needs.
  • Provide accurate sales, revenue, expense reports, and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while staying fully informed about new products and competitor activities.
  • Work with Leadership to identify and pursue new revenue streams.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and proven knowledge of the event industry.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management.
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and negotiation ability.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • A knack for problem-solving.
  • Impeccable customer service skills, best practices, and retention.
  • Proficient with applicable software applications.
  • A team player with leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, PR, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Association sales experience is preferred but not required.
