We are seeking a full time Occupational Therapist for the Article 16 Clinic. Block Institute's Article 16 Clinic is devoted to facilitating habilitative growth of individuals who are cognitively, physically, emotionally, and/or developmentally disabled. Our professional service team executes a whole person approach, providing consideration of all facts in a person's life, developing specialized treatment planning based on individual needs. Following a comprehensive evaluation of diagnosis impacting skills and abilities, we offer a full range of clinical services.
Responsibilities
New York State Occupational Therapy License
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
Experience With The Developmentally Disabled Population Is Preferred
Vaccination against COVID is required.

Responsibilities
- Provide treatment, consultation and guidance with regard to occupational therapy services provided.
- Conduct evaluations and develop appropriate therapeutic programs in response to individual need.
- Develop appropriate occupational therapy program protocols in response to identified needs in accordance with clinic operations.
- Facilitates occupation therapy oversight to other Occupational Therapist providing treatment to service recipients.
- Maintain a minimum caseload of occupational therapy service recipients.
- Monitor and record progress of each service recipient treatment and/or therapeutic feeding services. Monitoring will be done as required by OPWDD regulations and/or Agency policy.
- Participates as a member of the clinic's quality assurance team in conducting chart reviews and other internal monitoring activities to ensure quality of care and compliance with regulatory and agency policies and practices.
- Provide training in implementation of occupational therapy services/goals.
New York State Occupational Therapy License
