Job Description

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. These are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.

  • Co-creates a psychologically safe environment that empowers a commitment to the priorities of a High Reliability Organization (HRO)
  • Mentors the Orientation Team to support growth and development as a team and in their respective roles as preceptor and orientee
  • Socialize the Orientation Team to unit practices, culture, and interprofessional team member relationships
  • Integrates evidence-based wellness tactics to support the Orientation Team and their individual role development
  • Creates opportunities to develop professional identity within the orientee and advance or refine professional identity within the preceptor
  • Partners with the orientation team to identify successful time management tactics
  • Facilitates learning conversations with and between the Orientation Team that uncover diverse perspectives and inform practice reinforcement or improvement
  • Engages the Orientation Team in opportunities and dialogue that exposes and reinforces the clinical reasoning that drives clinical decision-making
  • Supports the Orientation Team in exploring ethically challenging situations and identify next steps that maintain integrity
  • Co-creates experiential and evidence-based learning activities that promote interprofessional teamwork
  • Supports the Orientation Team in integrating concepts of social determinants of health, diversity, equity and inclusion into their practice.


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or eligible for licensure through reciprocity.
  • At least 1 year Experience in a lead clinical role. (Required)
  • 1-3-year Clinical expertise in nursing specialty areas. (Required) IV. Certifications & Licensures


BLS Certification (Required)
