Content & Animation Director

Join our team at Pusheen Corp., a growing creative company! We're searching for a talented content developer to join our team. The Content & Animation Director focus will be on creating compelling content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube ensuring a consistent high-quality execution across channels. You will work closely with our Creative Director to spearhead the development of impactful and engaging web comics, animated shorts, and other visual content that aligns with our brand and marketing goals. Responsibilities:

• Mentoring and managing a team of multi-disciplinary designers and artists including production design, comic, graphic/visual design, branding and web marketing materials.
• Lead and cultivate a collaborative environment by helping with team processes including feedback, team meetings, less formal coaching, and identify opportunities to improve how we work.
• Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies and animation pipeline aligning with the company's brand identity.
• Ideate, create, and curate engaging content formats for the web to increase brand awareness and drive engagement.
• Manage production quality, contributing strong conceptual thinking and content creation skills
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to align content efforts with broader marketing initiatives and campaigns.
• Work with Social Media Manager to analyze content social media metrics and insights to track performance, identify trends, and optimize content strategies for improved reach, engagement, and conversion.
• Regularly represent the studio in external animation related communication and discussion by mentoring and giving feedback to an external group of animators.
• Collaborate with the Creative Director, President, and team to ensure delivered content and animation assets are of high quality and adhere to the vision of the brand.
• Oversee and be a filter for quality control for all animation related deliveries of content - provide feedback for adjustments before approval submission.
• Communicate with team on how to develop, verify, and maintain brand standards.
• Create documentation for content and animation pipeline guidelines, tutorials, examples, delivery expectations and assist in the integration of assets.
• May serve as a resource for overall content needs including general research, trends, techniques and new systems or tools.

The Individual we are looking for:

• 7 Years of experience as a creative leader in an animation and/or content creation field.
• Demonstrable experience in creating digital and social media content, including a deep understanding of their content requirements.
• Proven experience in video/animation production, with proficiency in software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
• Strong graphic design skills, with expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Strong content creation and curation skills across animation, comic, and illustration formats.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a meticulous eye for detail and creativity in content creation.
• Ability to conceptualize and execute creative ideas that align with brand objectives and messaging.
• Have proven communication skills, experience receiving and offering feedback.
• A portfolio showcasing your video/animation work, graphic design projects, and examples of social media content creation.
• Is a cat person. Well, you at least can’t not be a cat person.
