About The Role

SaaS Academy is seeking a Content Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our content strategy. This individual will be at the forefront of our efforts to drive engagement and elevate our brand presence. As a key contributor, the Content Manager will take the lead on creating and managing high-impact content across multiple channels, ensuring that our messaging resonates deeply with our audience and aligns with our ambitious growth objectives. By collaborating closely with cross-departmental teams, this role will be instrumental in positioning SaaS Academy as a thought leader in the B2B SaaS space, while also providing the creative energy needed to push our content initiatives to new heights.

With a knack for research and a talent for connecting dots, you’re more than just a writer—you’re a strategic thinker who knows how to drive engagement and elevate brand presence. You thrive on deadlines, excel under pressure, and consistently deliver top-tier work that aligns perfectly with the brand's voice and vision.

In this role, you'll be the heartbeat of our content machine, producing game-changing material that cements our position as the premier executive coaching company in the world for SaaS founders. Your words will resonate across channels, from captivating long-form articles to high-impact social media campaigns. You'll be in the mix with our top execs, coaches, demand gen, and creative teams, turning insights into content that not only engages but elevates our entire brand.

Responsibilities

  • Content Writing & Management: Produce, QA, and copy edit content across various channels, including a weekly email newsletter, long-form social posts, blog articles, podcast promo, webinar promo, sales enablement collateral, landing pages, client spotlights, and event-related content. Ensure all content aligns with the company’s strategic direction and drives engagement across the SaaS Academy’s audience.
  • Content QA: Conduct rigorous quality assurance on all content to uphold the highest standards of excellence. This includes meticulous copy editing and ensuring every deliverable is fully aligned with our brand voice, maintaining consistency and impact across all channels.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate closely with various teams across the company, including Media, Design, Demand Generation, Video, Events, and our program Coaches. You’ll work directly with executives and key stakeholders to extract core insights, field creative requests, and ensure our story is effectively shared externally.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze content performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to improve results.


Key Metrics For Success

  • Content Volume: Take ownership of weekly content output targets, ensuring consistent production across all channels.
  • Social Media Engagement: Lead the effort in growing SaaS Academy’s corporate social media follower counts, impressions, and engagement metrics, driving brand visibility and interaction.
  • Email Performance: Optimize email copy to achieve higher open rates and minimize unsubscribe rates, ensuring effective communication with our audience.
  • Web Traffic & Domain Authority: Drive growth in organic sessions and improve domain authority through strategic content initiatives, contributing to overall SEO success.
  • SLA & Deliverable Compliance: Maintain a high level of responsiveness, ensuring all content is delivered on time and same-day requests are handled promptly, upholding our commitment to speed, excellence and efficiency.


Experience

Required:

  • B2B SaaS Expertise: 4-6 years of experience in high-growth B2B SaaS environments, with a deep understanding of the industry.
  • Native US English Proficiency: Native US English speaker/writer with exceptional written communication skills.
  • Research & Analysis: Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize a high volume of information, using excellent judgment on what matters, what to feature, and how to position it so it resonates deeply with the target audience.
  • SaaS KPI Knowledge: A systems thinker with demonstrable experience writing about SaaS growth and KPIs such as MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, Churn Rate, and more.
  • Fast Turnaround: Proven ability to produce high-quality work quickly, often turning around significant projects in condensed timeframes.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external freelancers to achieve content goals.
  • Strategic Thinking: A content strategist who can think critically about how content fits into broader business goals.


Preferred

  • Educational Background: Degree in business, marketing, or communications.
  • AI Tool Proficiency: Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT to enhance content creation while maintaining originality and creativity.
  • Copyediting & Proofreading: Strong attention to detail with the ability to edit and proofread content for clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to and write in a distinct brand voice, particularly for ghostwriting assignments.
