About Us

Betches Media is the leading humor platform for women on the internet, offering audiences a range of cutting-edge and culturally relevant content across web, social, podcasts and events. The multi-media entertainment and lifestyle brand was founded in 2011 by lifelong friends Aleen Dreksler, Sami Sage and Jordana Abraham during their senior year at college, and is one of the earliest digitally native media and entertainment companies founded and led by women.

Today, Betches Media has a reach of 250M+ across all platforms, connecting with fans across every touchpoint. We are funny, honest, and unfiltered, and our mission is to provide a space for all women to get real about life through relatable and shareable content. The company has recently become a public entity after being acquired by UK-based parent company LBG Media, which reaches over a billion people globally every month and aims to be the number one media group for the social generation.

Description

Do you ever read a piece of branded content and think “I could do that so much better?” Did your teacher call you a “social butterfly” during your parent-teacher conferences in 5th grade? Are you so chronically online that you can share every single twist and turn of the Love is Blind love triangles? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you might be *perfect* as Betches’ next Branded Content Manager.

Betches Media is seeking a hilarious and creative branded content manager to help our team craft fun, effective web, newsletter, and social content for our brand partners. We’re looking for someone who can nail the delicate balance between hilarious content and showing our clients off to our audience in a way that makes them say, “I want that!!” The ideal candidate is a huge Betches fan, a marketing wiz, and, above all, an ace at seamlessly combining voice-driven language with client KPIs.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Branded Content and will work cross-functionally with multiple departments, including sales, editorial, and marketing. You should have demonstrated strong, clean writing skills, be extremely organized, and have experience in branded content.

If interested, candidates should have receipts, proof, timelines, and screenshots of all relevant work experience. In other words, we want to see examples of your funniest writing, especially for branded or marketing projects.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Write engaging, humorous content for branded content across web, social, and newsletters that incorporates brand messaging while staying true to the Betches voice
  • Work closely with the data and analytics teams to assess content performance and shift strategy based on those findings
  • Advocate for our content during all stages of the branded content process to ensure it’s executed in alignment with our most recent findings, best practices, and audiences in mind
  • Work closely with organic content teams to implement key learnings and share performance insights
  • Collaborate frequently and efficiently with other areas of the business, including marketing, editorial, and sales
  • Sit-in on kick-off calls and work closely with the account management team to craft and edit content that aligns with client needs
  • Serve as the touchpoint for organic content managers to ask questions, share suggestions, and raise concerns regarding branded content day to day
  • Work closely with the senior director of branded content to ideate big-picture ideas around tentpoles, key pulse moments, and other larger campaigns

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of branded content strategy and/or editorial experience
  • Strong knowledge of branded marketing and editorial strategies
  • Proven track record in producing engaging marketing or editorial content
  • A demonstrated ability to write engaging, funny, and clean copy in line with the Betches voice
  • The agility and flexibility to work in a small, fast-moving team and a growing business
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with and strong enthusiasm for entire Betches Media brand
  • Quick, witty creative mindset with a knack for ideation and thoughtful experimentation
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva or After Effects
