HAYNES GROUP is seeking an experienced real estate and development controller.  

Haynes is a vertically integrated company based in Oxford, CT, specializing in commercial and residential real estate development projects and statewide quarries. As part of Haynes Group, Hayes Development manages and develops residential and commercial properties with a focus on community and sustainability. Our flagship project, Quarry Walk Oxford, is a micro-community located in a former stone quarry serving as Oxford Connecticut's Towne Center. Haynes Group's mission is to enhance people's lives and make the world a better place, one stone at a time. 

Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Financial Controller located in Oxford. The Controller will be responsible for:

* Overseeing financial statements

*Conducting financial reporting

*Build and maintain positive relationships with lending institutions

*Manage budget and forecast preparation

*Monitor and analyze costs to ensure alignment with budget and financial objectives

*Cash Management

*Support Senior team and management in strategic planning and decision making

*Managing accounting team and functions

*The role will involve creating and maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. 

Qualifications:

*Finance or accounting experience in Real Estate, Construction or Development Industries

*Financial Statements, Financial Reporting and Accounting skills

*Analytical skills and finance knowledge

​*Proficiency in financial software and systems

*Strong attention to detail and accuracy

*Excellent problem-solving and decision -making abilities

*Ability to work independently and collaboratively
