Responds to complex customer questions and resolves concerns.
Process new customer applications, transfers, and termination of services per customer requests
Create new account numbers using GIS software.
Receive payments and issue receipts for utility bills and miscellaneous items as needed.
Prepares, processes and reconciles various account and financial documents and reports including daily cash balancing.
Enter and process various work orders.
Process billing reports according to procedures to ensure accurate and timely billing
Review meter readings and issue necessary work orders
Calculates billing components and various adjustments.
Establish and track payment agreements; initiates work orders to terminate and reconnect services.
Perform all collection activities for delinquent accounts including, but not limited to, processing the weekly cut off list.
Back up for various other duties in the department.
Perform other duties as required.

Required Education, Training And Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of customer service experience
Experience with cash handling
Desired Training And Experience
Knowledge of utility billing preferred
Basic accounting experience preferred
