NA’AMAT USA is a mission-based national nonprofit organization providing support for services to underserved and at-risk women and children of all backgrounds in Israel.


We are seeking an organized, creative, team-oriented professional with excellent communication skills to serve as NA’AMAT USA’s Development Manager. The Development Manager reports directly to the National Executive Director and will work with staff and volunteer leadership to assist with NA’AMAT USA’s development efforts and communications plan and support the organization when “all hands on deck” are needed.


The Development Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing, along with the National Executive Director, all of NA’AMAT USA’s fundraising activities, including major gifts, monthly giving, planned (legacy) giving, special events, and campaigns. The Development Manager works closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors in all development and fundraising endeavors.

To be successful in this position you need to be an excellent communicator with a personality oriented toward relationship building.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Development and Program Support:

· Develop and maintain relationships with donors; steward major gift donors to ensure long-term relationships.

· Donor communications: draft, produce, and coordinate direct mail/email solicitations and coordinate acknowledgements, tributes, et al.

· Conduct ongoing prospect research in coordination with Board and Staff.

· Brainstorm ideas to expand our outreach and brand recognition.

· Track and provide guidance for donor recognition in online materials, publications, and at events.

· Support planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and programs.

· Oversee Development budget.

· Provide leadership and initiative in amplifying NA’AMAT USA’s message and awareness of the organization in order to increase our impact.


General Duties

· Represent NA’AMAT in a professional and knowledgeable way as a first line of contact to members, donors, and other interested parties.

· Respond in a timely manner to inquiries and be a knowledgeable resource for board members, donors, members, and staff on fundraising and donor stewardship programs and activities.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required and 3+ years work experience, preferably in development.
  • The successful candidate must be able to work independently, and be detail oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, diplomatic, friendly, resourceful, and flexible.
  • Knowledge of and experience with donor database systems, communications, and mass email platforms.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, budget management, and database management.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Excellent written communication skills – ability to edit a variety of materials with high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of design applications. Experience with Canva a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan according to short, medium and long-term objectives and assignments, and manage competing demands.
  • Follow instructions, respond agreeably to management direction, complete tasks on time.
  • Know how to treat others with diplomacy and tact and stay calm under pressure.
  • Ability to synthesize complex and diverse information, research and collect data, and use intuition and experience to complement data.
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
  • A passion for and knowledge of the Jewish Community and Israeli society.
  • Eagerness to learn more about all aspects of donor cultivation and stewardship.
