As a Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will play a critical role in shaping and aligning Asurion’s technology strategy, actions and organization with its strategic business goals and objectives. You will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing the architecture of our enterprise systems, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and capable of supporting the business's growth and innovation. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including engineering teams, business leaders, and external partners, to define and execute a technology strategy that optimizes our systems and processes.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture strategy, ensuring it aligns with the business's long-term objectives. Define technology roadmaps and blueprints to guide system development and integration.
  • Conduct research and analysis of third-party software solutions and make recommendations to use third party software or develop solutions in-house.
  • Ensure that enterprise architecture is designed with security and compliance in mind. Implement best practices for data protection, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Design systems that can scale to meet the organization's growth demands. Optimize the performance of existing systems and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure that various IT systems and applications can seamlessly communicate and work together. Implement integration strategies and standards to minimize data silos.
  • Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and standards. Communicate architectural decisions and principles to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Evaluate new and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency improvements. Make recommendations on the adoption of technologies that align with the enterprise's strategic vision.
  • Identify and mitigate technology-related risks and vulnerabilities. Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to architecture and development teams. Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in architectural design.
  • Engage directly in hands-on development and troubleshooting to ensure the effective implementation of architectural designs and strategies.
  • Create and maintain reference architectures and roadmaps for the digital technology deployment.

We look for:

  • 8-10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 12+ years in a high influence technical, product management or consultative role driving strategic architecture across large enterprises.
  • Proficiency in various technologies, including cloud computing, database systems, networking, and software development.
  • A deep understanding of business processes and the ability to align technology solutions with business goals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Awareness of data security and privacy technologies and processes.
  • Understanding of key digital technology trends and vendor landscape.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor architecture and development teams.
  • The ability to think strategically and develop technology roadmaps that align with long-term business objectives.
