Director of Business Development

Business Development Director - Boston

I am working with a global CRDMO focused on drug discovery services for small and large molecules, specifically pre-clinical services. We are looking for someone to cover the Boston territory and bring in around $10 Million new business YOY.

Must have:

• 3+ years CRO experience selling pre clinical services
• Must have a network in North East territory
• Must have a hunter mentality

Responcibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive strategic plan for Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania North and South Carolina and Eastern Canada customers to expand activities in the area of Discovery services.
• Make an operating plan to achieve the budgeted revenue targets.
• Work closely with the Head of BD to continue to position the company as a differentiated, next generation pure play Discovery Services provider.
• Identify market opportunities, where you can offer its competitive advantages.
• Work with other members of the commercial team, formulate the vision, strategy, business plan and support requirements necessary to pursue major strategic alliances and partnerships.
• Develop business analyses to support future opportunities, assess the commercial competitive landscape, and help evaluate the commercial potential of new opportunities.
• Provide regular presentations on business development opportunities, sales pipeline, and competitive analyses.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of deals and partnerships aligned with the company’s value creation strategy for customers based on their Discovery and pre-clinical development pipeline.

Travel up to 50% in heavy months, 10 % - 25% in slower months.
