Director of Project Management

The Director of Project Manager will lead the Project Management practice at SwiftOtter.

Your time will be split (at the beginning) into two areas. First, you will lead our other exceptional project managers, ensuring fluent communication throughout the business. Second, you will manage a small-ish load of projects by overseeing project goals, managing scope and deliverables, and monitoring development resources and risks.

We are looking exclusively for someone with Project Management experience at an eCommerce agency in the United States.

Your responsibilities

1. Oversee and lead our project management practice
2. Be proactive in identifying problems and quickly implementing solutions
3. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
4. Lead projects from conception to completion
5. Ensure personnel availability and allocation
6. Regularly monitor and track project progress
7. Report on project progress to client and internal stakeholders
8. Facilitate communication – both written and in meetings – between project teams, clients, and vendors
9. Provide direction to the project execution team regarding priority or direction of specific tasks

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience managing eCommerce development projects. Ideally, with Adobe Commerce, Shopify, and BigCommerce.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment with other developers
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Careful attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field is a plus
• PMP certification is a plus
