Director, Project Management (Solar, Storage) - EPC Contractor
Location: Remote, US Wide
Travel: Minimal expectations
Sector: Renewable Energy (Solar, Storage)
Compensation: $180k - $225k + generous cash bonus

The Business
Our client is an accomplished EPC contractor in the renewables sector. Well respected with ~2GW under contract, the client's execution division boasts an impressive portfolio of renewable projects across the country with significant growth planned in the near future.
The Role
The ideal candidate will bring deep project management, project control, and project construction experience to lead project execution for a $400M EPC building utility-scale solar and BESS.
No renewable energy experience required. Candidates with oil and gas, heavy industrial backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Job Functions
- Oversee project and client interactions, with 2-5 active projects at a time.
- Perform due diligence, oversee construction, and/or monitor the completion of utility scale solar, storage, and hybrid projects.
- Offer technical advice and/or guidance to diverse project teams.
- Collaborate closely within a team setting that includes a range of technical skills and expertise.
- Finalize project tasks and outputs on time and within budget.
- Maintain client happiness and foster lasting client connections.
- Assist in the expansion of the business by identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new projects and client prospects.
- Create proposals for potential new engagements.
- Keep up with market movements and trends in the industry.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.
- Ensure effective risk management strategies are in place and followed for all projects.
Required Skills
- **Essential experience: SELF-PERFORM EPC project management executing utility-scale energy projects, with a proven track record of successful project delivery (E.G. solar, storage, wind, oil & gas, large industrial projects )**.
- Deep understanding of regulating and permitting requirements to construct projects in California.
- Strong knowledge of project controls and construction procedures.
- Excellent skills restructuring and leading construction team towards efficiency and success
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team of project professionals.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Deep understanding of the EPC industry, including regulatory and compliance requirements.
Location
- Position is open to remote work with occasional travel.
