The Talent Search Group at PiP is searching for a Director of World Language Curriculum and Professional Learning, K-12 (US), on behalf of our client, the leading provider of language learning products in K-12 and Higher Education.


Candidates can be located in the US for remote work, or if within reasonable distance to the Boston office, may work in a hybrid arrangement. Travel is required – up to 50% as needed.



As the K12 Director of World Language Curriculum and Professional Learning, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with educators, school districts, and educational institutions focused on customer training, sales presentations, and professional development. You and your team will create and execute go-to-market plans intended on driving growth for both current and future language education programs.


IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive product training programs for K-12 educators, ensuring proficiency in utilizing your World Language solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations to school districts and educational institutions, highlighting the benefits of your offerings
  • Serve as an advocate for World Languages in K-12 education, play an active role in engaging with educational communities, attend industry events and conferences
  • Provide ongoing support and resources to customers, addressing inquiries, concerns, and ensuring a positive user experience
  • Collaborate with the Editorial, Marketing, and Sales teams to create compelling and informative presentations that effectively showcase the value of your educational solutions
  • Train internal sales specialists and per diem consultants on effective sales strategies, program knowledge, and consultative selling techniques
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a team of national World Language Engagement Specialists as well as specialized per diem consultants and trainers


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum (advanced degree ideal)
  • 10+ years of experience in K12 literacy and/or language sales, marketing and professional development/training
  • Advanced level knowledge of the K-12 World language customer and market needs and experience in creating professional development training instruction and content.
  • Knowledge of K-12 schools and purchasing practices as well as latest trends in Language, strategies and planning methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively building, motivating, coaching, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (i.e. product development, sales, etc.) in agile environments to define, develop, and launch successful products.
  • Experience using sales technologies (CRM) to make data-informed decisions, create GTM plans based on variety of customer profiles and audience needs
  • Excellent leadership and team building skills
