Aerospace Engineer Electrical
Location: Seattle, WA
12 Months+ Contract
The Electrical Power Systems position is responsible for supporting the development, testing, and certification of the electrical aspects of the various systems and components and/or controllers on the airplane and rotorcraft (e.g. ECS, fuel, hydraulics, engines, fire protections, anti-ice, lights, electrical power, wiring, lithium-ion batteries, etc.). This role requires the significant exercise of independent discretion and judgment in matters of significance.
The Skills You Will Bring (Minimum):
Education:
- Four (4) year degree in Engineering (Aerospace or Electrical) or equivalent experience. Lithium-Ion Battery experience preferred.
Experience:
- Five (5) years of aerospace experience in Electrical Systems, including experience in the electrical aspects of the various systems and components and/or controllers on the airplane (e.g. ECS, fuel, hydraulics, engines, fire protections, anti-ice, lights, electrical power, wiring, etc.). Lithium-Ion Battery experience preferred.
In This Role You Will:
1. Review and support Electrical Design Activities, including but not limited to:
- Help determine system requirements
- Create and Research Design requirements
- Determine means of Validation, Verification, and decomposition for design objectives and requirements
- Develop System architectures based on requirements
- Write and review alternate System architectures for meeting design and regulatory objectives
- Participate in Preliminary and Critical Design reviews.
- Design test and test conditions for requirement validation
- Analyze, and draw conclusions from requirement tests.
- Identify non-compliance with requirements.
- Coordinate and resolve conflicting design objectives with system stake holders.
- Make assessments of design objectives to ensure safety of flight.
- Create, update and review documentations (reports, ELA, test plans, etc.)
2. Review and support Certification Activities, including but not limited to:
- Create and review Component Qualification Test Plans, Qualification Test Procedures and Qualification Test Reports. Review system safety documents (PSSA, SFHA, AFHA, SSA and Particular Risk Analysis).
- Create, review and approve ground test procedures, flight test procedures and their corresponding test reports.
- Complete aircraft assembly and installation drawing reviews.
- Participate in Systems Design Reviews.
