Responsibilities. Below are the basic responsibilities, but the technician's role may expand as necessary to adapt the current needs of the task:
Conducting product tests, both at top and sub-assembly levels
Compiling product reports and results based on those tests
Responsible for analyzing and suggesting a repair for failed unit and circuit card assembly (CCA), so must have the skills for testing and troubleshooting electronic equipment, components, and parts
Performing multipoint inspections of products against drawings
Creating/improving documentation for the testing of PCB assemblies
Ensuring to maintain testing equipment/stations, including compiling list of component requirements for test stations
Working with Engineering to design and test cables/harnesses
Working with Engineering to set up new test stations, including doing research for components required to build a new test station or bench
Maintaining all tool and equipment to ensure they are up to date with calibration
Traveling to supplier's manufacturing facility in Croydon, PA to support testing. Typical hours of operations: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST
Performing ESS and final ATP at our own facility in Exton, PA. Hours of Operations: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Traveling to customers for onsite support as necessary. All travel expenses will be reimbursed per IRS regulations
Requirements
Skill Requirements. Below are the minimum, but not limited to, requirements:
Must know how to read assembly drawings and instructions
Must know how to read schematics
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
The ability to work effectively with various testing tools and equipment
Essential skills required for this role include mathematics, communication, safety knowledge, understanding testing equipment, and scientific knowledge, mechanical skills and observational skills
Must have own transportation to travel to both Croydon, PA and Exton, PA
Must be familiar with Office Suite products such as Excel and Word
Must know how to research information using multiple resources
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal instructions
