Newton, MA fixed hybrid schedule, 3 days in office

As Executive Vice President of Senior Living Operations, you will play a key senior leadership role in driving the transformation and growth of our business. As a seasoned leader in this senior living industry, you will have the opportunity to take on various activities including senior living operations, national sales strategy and enablement, revenue management, capital investments insights and clinical operations, ultimately enabling the teams to provide an industry-leading service experience and position the organization as a market leader.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in senior living leadership or multi-unit operations, excellent financial acumen, and a track record of successfully repositioning and revitalizing communities. This role requires a deep understanding of operational standardization, scalability, financial modeling, and sales strategy, as well as a passion for enhancing the lives of our residents and team members while driving engagement, accountability and ownership throughout the organization.

  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership team on strategy development and execution that will grow occupancy and sound business operations in a way that is scalable, sustainable and meets the future needs of our organization.

  • Evaluate and optimize, operational oversight support to maximize efficiency and support for the multi-site locations.
  • Provide “in the field” leadership by creating an atmosphere of transparency, collaboration, respect, and accountability that inspires teams to do their best.
  • Leverage expertise across teams, data, systems and tools that to strategically drive meaningful insights that will help us to prioritize focus and that allows us to respond, in an agile way, to meet our goals.
  • Drive operational standardization and scalability initiatives across multiple locations, leveraging best practices and implementing standardized processes.
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to reposition and revitalize existing communities, including product redesign, go-to-market strategies, and lease-up efforts.
  • Oversight of the sales function and develop, implement and sustain sales strategies to maximize revenue potential throughout the portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders, serving as a trusted advocate and ambassador for our communities.
  • Exhibit "gravitas" to participate in internal/external presentations that will include interaction with key stakeholders.
  • Keep current on all trends affecting the senior living industry, as well as the particular dynamics in the markets in which the AlerisLife communities are located, including supply and demand changes, competition, and trends that could affect current and future performance.

Key Competencies & Experience

  • Experience working in a senior, strategic role leading a large senior living organization with multiple assets across several states.
  • Clear sense of purpose and high level of accountability to business performance results.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales and revenue growth, with a strong sales mindset.
  • Track record of success with capital investment and redevelopment projects, divestitures and acquisitions, including integrating culture and operational programs.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute operational standardization and scalability strategies.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of the inter-relationships between financial and operational data and how to connect them to key decision points.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
