It is a highly integrated, in-house network of hospitals, faculty, medical students, scientists, allied personnel, and 25+ state-of-the-art research and development labs. This rapidly growing program is supported by nearly 100 grants and contracts, including NIH.
This program is seeking an experienced leader to work alongside their highly distinguished Chief Scientific Officer. The CSO possesses strong business and marketing skills, as well as extensive experience in biomedical research and senior administration, particularly in combating antibiotic and antifungal drug resistance. The CSO has authored or co-authored over 250 articles, chapters, and books, and has received support from various sectors including NIH, DoD, Pharma, biotechnology, and foundations. The Discovery hub is in search of a Scientific Director who matches the caliber of its CSO, and will develop a synergistic partnership between the CSO.
The Executive Scientific Director should be an accomplished research professional with a proven track record of obtaining and leading federally funded or equivalent research grants, independent NIH, and/or foundation funding. Additionally, the Executive Scientific Director will also have published 50+ articles in scientific journals or book chapters, offer 10+ years of senior management experience, and hold their MD or PhD from a highly accredited school.
