Our hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office. Applicants beyond fifty (50) miles will still be considered.

Job Summary

  • This is a client facing role which actively partners with mid to upper level leaders and provides Human Resource consultation in all aspects of the people strategy in line with business needs.
  • Supports the strategy set forth by the CEO direct reports and the HR Leadership team.
  • Works collaboratively with cross- functional team members to execute in key delivery areas that impact talent management employee experience and retention, performance management, change management, diversity and inclusion, workforce planning, organizational design, and supporting key initiative research, development and execution.

Essential Job Functions

  • Utilizes knowledge of employment related laws/regulations and Farmers employment policies and practices to enable adherence across the business units supported.
  • Interacts as needed, with people leaders and employees on complex or sensitive human resource and employment issues.
  • Manages the execution of employee experience and retention efforts.
  • Gathers anecdotal and analytical feedback to support ongoing iterations of business unit action plans.
  • Executes plans to support key enterprise people initiatives by providing consultation on policy alignment, change management and communications, including identifying risks and mitigation plans.
  • Proactively seeks and integrates feedback from the business.
  • Leads talent discussions, consults on succession potential and partners with cross-functional departments to execute solutions that support the strategic talent development and diversity and inclusion needs as determined by the Senior HRBP.
  • Builds and executes onboarding plans for new leaders.
  • Escalates potential workforce gaps and recommends potential solutions to the Senior HRBP and leadership to ensure the business is prepared with the right people and skills.
  • With input from Senior HRBP/Leader, provides organizational design consultation while ensuring alignment with current and future business unit objectives.
  • May provide rationale for supporting business case development for workforce reductions, and partners with leaders to develop and execute change management plans.
  • Supports a performance culture, educates leaders on the performance cycle, encourages performance differentiation during alignment sessions and utilizes data driven insights to identify and consult around performance trends.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 4 years experience in Human Resources partnerships and consulting required.

Physical Actions

  • This role, whether performed virtually or in an office setting, will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.
  • Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
  • Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance.
  • Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (example others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
  • Visually verifies and reads information.
  • Visually locates material, resources and other objects.
  • Ability to continuously operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift.
  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.
