Palmetto Summerville Behavioral Health is a residential treatment facility, located in Summerville, South Carolina. We treat children and adolescents, ages 7 to 18, who require a highly structured and supervised therapeutic environment. Residents attend programming separately, and are assigned to a group based on functioning level and treatment needs.
The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR team in supporting the HR function and activities for the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: onboarding and all functions of the pre-hire process, scanning, filing, answering phones, copying, faxing, HR communications, employee engagement, employee relations, file maintenance, posting jobs, preparing and maintaining employee files, organizing resumes and job applications, scheduling interviews and assisting with the interview process, ensuring background and reference checks are completed, orienting employees and other duties as assigned.
The HR Coordinator will work with department heads regarding position management and source verification.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or Degree in Human Resources preferred.
Healthcare experience preferably in behavioral health.
Possess skills related to the management functions of strategic and effective human resource planning, compensation, recruitment, training and development, career planning, organizational effectiveness, and employee relations, among others or willing to learn.
1 year of experience working in Human Resources or Recruitment.
Well-developed problem solving techniques. Strong display of communication competency. Core ability to provide Service Excellence Skills. Ability to multi-task in crisis.
Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner
Must possess strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR management team, and in group presentations and meetings
Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information
Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
