Who We Are Looking For

An Inventory & Merchandise intern who will assist the Inventory Planner & Merchandising teams with the daily operations, reporting and allocation of inventory/merchandise to all stores within the Americas Region. During the internship the intern will learn about store inventory, merchandising, store sales, and utilizing sales reporting tools. As well as on the job training and experience working in a corporate environment. The internship is a paid and onsite ( NYC based), and it will last for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Planning:

  • Allocate and replenish all USA, Canada, and Mexico stores for VGD and VGU carryover categories.
  • Analyze store sales and stock level, completing consolidations amongst stores depending on business needs.
  • Assist in store specific product and replenishment requests to maximize sales potential.
  • Proficient in Excel – must perform of v-look up and create pivot tables – and Power Point
  • Ensure stores are receiving timely deliveries to support sales trends.

Merchandising:

  • Contribute to preparing selling tools, such as buy-books, top investment reference sheets.
  • Coordination of international transfer request from US to HQ
  • Preparing when necessary or needed selling recaps or stock availability per store request.
  • Partnering in creating ad hoc client facing look-books as selling tools for the store
  • Collection of fit and product feedback to share with HQ.
  • Competitive product and pricing analysis

Requirements :

  • A major or in area of study prefer in Logistics, Supply chain management, and Inventory Management.
  • Prefer: Luxury Retail experience if possible, or other internships in Allocation , Merchandising & Buying , or Inventory Planning.
  • Organized and able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Some Knowledge of a replenishment software in other Retail brands.
  • Excel Test will be given as part of the interview process.
  • Strong communication skills – will need to send out communication to stores and other corporate departments.
  • At the end of the internship. The intern will be required to create a presentation on; What have they learned during the internship, and how it can be applied in their area of study.

Hour Rate: $16-$17 ( based on experience and subject to change)
