IT Application Manager

Job Summary:

The IT Application Manager will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of our business applications, from selection and implementation to ongoing support and enhancement. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a customer-centric approach to application management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of enterprise applications to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize projects, and align technology solutions with business objectives.
  • Manage a team of application specialists and developers to ensure timely delivery of projects and support services.
  • Define and implement application governance, standards, and best practices to maintain system reliability, security, and performance.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and manage contracts for application software and services.
  • Monitor application performance, conduct regular assessments, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain application roadmaps and lifecycle management plans, including upgrades and migrations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to application management and data security.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to develop and execute strategic IT initiatives and projects.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in application management, IT leadership, or a related role.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, etc.) in a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), IT governance, and project management principles.
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and SaaS solutions is a plus.
