Lead Application Architect

Job Duties:

• Primary focus/responsibility is leading, mentoring, and providing direction to multiple app dev project teams
• Designs and architects innovative, state-of-the-art applications in collaboration with PM, UX, QA, and other developers
• Helps lead the technical and architectural aspects of a project throughout the entire development life cycle from the concept stage to delivery and post-launch support
• Works directly with client stakeholders and project managers to translate business requirements into technical requirements within a roadmap and backlog
• Works alongside other internal and external team members across projects and work streams
• Determines and delivers project application foundations and patterns and works within those patterns to implement features and enhancements
• Presents working solutions to stakeholders
• Creates definitions around architectural patterns and practices across projects and champions standards
• Positively influences technical strategy at all levels of the organization from development teams to senior leadership
• Reviews code and provides helpful feedback
• Delegates and assigns some responsibilities to other developers
• Point of technical escalation for developers
• Provides support to presales engineering process by contributing to sales calls as a subject matter expert, breaking down requirements, and estimating time and budget

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience with Javascript/Typescript with strong experience in React
• 10+ years of experience in .NET
• 10+ years of experience building SQL schemas and data modeling
• 1 to 3+ years in a technical or team leadership position providing oversight and guidance to developers

Required:

• Advanced proficiency in React building custom-styled applications using Tailwind or CSS
• Advanced proficiency in .NET including .NET 6+ and ASP.NET Core
• Unit testing frameworks such as Jest and xUnit
• Experience building SQL schemas and data modeling
• Experience designing and implementing distributed systems, REST APIs, and microservices
• Experience designing solutions in the cloud, preferably Azure or AWS
• Experience with DevOps concepts such as containers, container orchestration, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code
• Strong experience with git
• Forward-thinking problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience mentoring and coaching other developers
• Willingness to learn new things

Nice to have:

• Experience using other stacks involving Node, Python/Django, PHP/Laravel
